i would have adored another fifty pages in this one. and not in a “i want to know what happened” way, because i love the ending just how it is. more so to allow for a greater exploration of the institutions at the heart of the story.

i think i’ll reread this in the winter. i could definitely see this becoming a 4 star read.

beautifully haunting book. i love bill furlong so much he's such a genuine kindhearted man. couldn't have asked for a better leaving cert english novel.
