I apsolutly loved this book. And as an own voices story with some amazing mixed in reality twist with te show.... all the characters were realistic and the things that happened also very realistic the plus size representation was spot on and not overly done or in your face. It was a superb novel I devoured in one night before bed..... apsolutly amazing read.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this. The premise sounds so much like One To Watch - a young plus-sized woman on a TV show modeled after The Bachelor. But there are enough differences to make it feel fresh and not derivative.

There's a lot to like about this re-telling of Cinderella. Cindi is smart, kind, sure of herself, and talented. Henry makes a great Prince Charming. I especially liked that Murphy didn't turn the step-mother and step-sisters into villains. Murphy didn't make the dark moment what you'd expect it to be (how's that for not spoilerish?). It was a gentler, more heart-felt dark moment, and I thought it was classier than the obvious one would've been. I also really liked the fashion industry angle.

My only complaint was that Cindy was not seeing a therapist after the death of her dad. I had a hard time understanding why this was not the case.

The narration was terrific. I especially liked that Beck sounded just like Rosie O'Donnell.

My favorite reimagining of Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters!

The platonic ideal of a fluffy easy reading contemporary romance. I am a sucker for Cinderella reimaginings and love having a plus size protagonist (who the male lead is attracted to! And she doesn’t have deep seared self hatred for her size! And her plot is focused on other aspects of her life!). But beyond that this is well written, cozy, and had a believable romance and just hit the spot when I was looking for a good romance.

Cinderella meets the Bachelor meets fashion, honey. Perfect rom-com chick-lit, as charming as a Disney prince but with a better supporting cast.
