Anything these dynamic duo writes, I will read it. This was a new college romance between Finn and Scottie. I love the banter and fun in the story. There is an element of mystery as well with Finn.
The story was entertaining despite some heavier topics and provided lots of funny moments to balance it out.

I absolutely loved this book. From the very first page, Learning Curve had me hooked with its perfect blend of humor, heart, and swoon-worthy moments. Max Monroe never fails to bring characters to life in the most charming and hilarious ways, and this story was no exception.
The chemistry between the main characters was magnetic—I couldn’t get enough of their banter, the slow build of tension, and the genuinely sweet moments that made me melt. I laughed out loud more times than I can count, but I also felt every soft, romantic beat of the story in my heart.
It was the kind of book that made me want to pause just to savor the joy it was bringing me… and then immediately keep reading because I had to know what happened next.
If you love romantic comedies that are as funny as they are full of feels, Learning Curve is a must-read. I adored every single page.
3.25 stars. The Learning Curve is the first book in the new Dickson University series. This was a pretty good read, but was not my favorite book by Max Monroe. This book is Finn and Scottie's book. Finn is a broody guy with a tortured past, Scottie is a sunny sweetheart and college cheerleader. They meet at college and lots of drama ensues. I can't go into much more of the plot without spoiling the story. But I did think all of the drama was over the top.
I liked Finn and Scottie and felt like they were really put through the ringer. They face things like abusive parents, bullying from an ex, a secret campus society, stalker messages, a secret family and new siblings, and an alcoholic mom who sleeps with a fellow student on video and goes viral. It was way too much. Not to mention the biggest overdramatic curveball thrown in the fourth act. It was a shame because I liked the story in general. The college setting was fun and the second generation Billionaire Bad Boy kids were a great addition. I definitely see potential for more of their stories in the future. I just hope they are not quite as traumatic. Overall, while there was a ton of drama, this book did still have humor, heat and an interesting story. And while I prefer less angsty reads, I did enjoy this book in general and I look forward to more from Max Monroe in the future.

Spoiler
Scottie gets dropped from the top of a cheerleading pyramid and becomes permanently paralyzed. This injury was the final straw for me and very nearly ruined my enjoyment of the book. It changed her personality, caused her to push away everyone, and there wasn't enough time afterwards for her to get back to herself.*arc provided in exchange for an honest review*

Could not put it down..2AM!
Wow! First came, “What I Should’ve Said” and we learn that Max Monroe can write a story that can tear us apart and put us back together and here we go again. Though no relation to that book, “Learning Curve” had a similar effect. A beautiful story that is heartfelt, raw, funny, everything!
So, this is an interconnected series. Dickson University series is the second generation to characters we love in Billionaire Bad Boys and Winslow Brothers. We now see their kids in college and I don’t think it’s a secret that we get a glimpse of their parents, which is amazing. This is a standalone but I recommend you read the others at some point. You will understand the kids better..especially Thatch’s kid, Ace. Like father like son.
Finn grew up with four siblings and they have had a difficult life. Home life has not been good but Finn had to get away and has to work extremely hard to get in and stay in college. Everyone around him is a rich kid. Entitled, wealthy, have had such an easy life..so he thinks..and he is bitter about it.
Scottie grew up with one sister and an amazing dad. Her mom is a different story. She’s going to Dickson U. on a cheerleading scholarship so she can’t do anything to mess that up. Otherwise, she nor her father could afford school.
Young hearts will tear, be challenged, grow, and be put back together. Bitterness will turn to understanding and growth and love will be learned. Beautiful story!

I enjoyed this book, but it just dragged on and on. I was skimming a lot at time mainly because it was so wordy. Lots of internal monologues. I was fine with all the twists and turns, but some parts felt like filler and were too slow.
The other issue I had is that I don’t think we saw enough of the main characters relationship that would justify them being in love so quickly. It definitely felt like insta-love and it never really evolved past that for me. I think part of that was age and part was not having it be realistic enough.
I liked the cast of side characters, they were funny and added a lot to the story, both friends and family. I’ll likely skip the next book because the infatuation by Blake of Lexi is too over the top and juvenile for me. It seems 100x less realistic than the main characters relationship in this one.
