I could NOT get enough of this! The story was captivating, entertaining and had me at the edge of my seat with that ending ✨️
I just love the whole cultural vibe here, as a fellow Latina, I could NOT get enough quick enough lol
Noah 🖤 Valeria 🖤 Rey 🖤
They were my fave! ✨️
I need book 2 like yesterday.
*My stars were not based on spice, it was based on the plot*

Calavera Society is the first book in a *DARK* romance duet with multiple POV's and ends on a cliffhanger.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
🔥🔥🔥🔥
As an ARC reader, I do not feel it is my job to comment on any grammar or spelling errors. Therefore, my review does not take into account any grammar and spelling errors or any missing words.
I really liked the story line and plot. The book is written from three POV's: Valeria, Noah, and Rey. I love when you can see stories play out from multiple vantage points and I feel like V. Domino did a great job of switching between each POV when it was most relevant.
Valeria (Val) Calavera was a total baddy and I loved her strength and independence. Noah (Noh) was so protective and the type of best friend anyone would love to have. Rey Calavera was psychotic in the best way. Their connections to each other got deeper and more complex as the story went on and more secrets started to build up between them.
The whole secret society aspect was well developed, and the world building I felt like was original and well thought out.
I was extremely sad to come to the end of the book and realize it was cliffhanger.
I need book two stat. There is so much more I want to know! I need to know every secret of the society and characters.
Tropes:
Enemies to lovers, Bully Romance, Dark Academia, Stepbrother/Stepsister. Why Choose, MF/MM/MMF, Latinx, Cultist Theme, Voyeruism, Mask K!nk
Trigger Warnings:
Abuse/Domestic Abuse, Bullying, Explicit Language (but so delicious), Explicit Sexual Scenes, Recreational Drug Use, Blood K!nk, Knife K!nk, Alcohol Use, DubCon/NonCon, La Muerta Cult, Taboo, Graphic Violence, Rituals and Dark Worship
Thank you to Bound By Mischief Author Services and V. Domino for the opportunity to read and review Calavera Society in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts above are all my own.

4 ⭐️ & 4 GOT-DANG 🌶️
LISTEN. This is not a dark romance for the faint of heart. The trigger warnings are important. They're not justimportant, they are for your own safety. I'm listing them below but please go into this mindful that we know these are in here, and you should be reading books that fit what you're comfortable with. I do not recommend this if this is your first dark romance book. Do I need to repeat myself? No? Okay good.
All that being said, this is far from my first dark romance, and HOT DAMN. Valeria Calavera is without a doubt one of the strongest, no bullsh!t FMCs I've read in a long time. She's nothing like the dainty & delicate FMCs of most current literature. Val is here to stick up for herself, her mom, and her guys. Even the ones she's not quite ready to admit she has a thing for. 👀 There's just such a realness to Val that V Domino has woven into all of her characters. Is Val perfect? Absolutely not. She absolutely did get on my nerves at times, but if I sit with those feelings I recognize that it's because I've made/learned from the same choices she makes. Making my connection to the book that much better.
Since this is book one in the duet, I do still have lingering questions about the characters, the Society itself, some more of the history and things like that but it's these reasons that are making me HOLLER for Book 2. This is also my first book from this author and I want to congratulate her on this publication. I can't wait to dive into Book 2 when it's out. 🖤
