Elphaba Tropp changed the way I see the world for the better. The politics in this book parallel the horror going on in this society and in other parts. This book really does a number on you if you pay attention 👀

I thought I would like this book but I didn't. It took so long to finally finish because I just absolutely hate leaving books unfinished. I was also hoping that maybe it would surprise me. Books have done that before. But I still did not like the book. It left may unanswered questions, unless that was the plan being there are four books in the series but I highly doubt that seeing how the second book was published 10 years later. I felt like the author was trying too hard to sound smart. Yes, I will admit that there were many words I had to look up myself. While I appreciate the vocabulary lesson I just felt the author was coming off pompous. I hated the weird sexual episodes that had absolutely nothing to do with the story. I hated the whole book. I was highly disappointed after seeing this is one of the best stories and the play got great reviews (yes, yes I know they are different) but still, thought something good came out of it.
