This is the type of book you read to feel warm and fuzzy. The tag line on Amazon is "Literally a Hallmark movie in book form", and it's accurate! Ashley's life takes a different direction than planned. Instead of a proposal and a magical Christmas in Paris, she ends up going home heartbroken. There's a fantasy element as she's magically gifted a charm bracelet that she can't remove, and it seems to be running the show! Cue a hallmark Christmas as Ashley gets the type of Christmas she always dreamed of when she was younger, and add her college sweetheart into the mix for a sweet romance. It's a feel good read, perfect fluff to lift the mood this festive season.

My dearest Hallmark, always knowing how to put me into the perfect mood no matter the time of year. This book was so perfect that I didn’t want it to end but knew the entire time that I would love the ending because I always do.

Ashley lives in Manhattan and has been recently planning for her perfect Christmas - a trip to Paris with her boyfriend Jeremy full of romance and love. But Christmas magic has a different plan - spending Christmas back in Owl Lake, her perfect little home town in upstate New York.

On the train ride there she meets a wonderful woman named Betty who gifts her the most beautiful antique charm bracelet while she’s sleeping on the train. But when she wakes up and tries to find Betty to return the beautiful gift, she’s nowhere to be found.

Her next few days in Owl Lake become surreal as she finds she can’t get the bracelet off of her wrist, and all at the same time each charm on the bracelet seems to oddly coincide with things happening in her real life - as if predicting the events of her Christmas. Many of them having to do with her former high school boyfriend Aidan.

Ashley has to fight herself to determine whether to let fate and Christmas magic take charge of this Christmas or to keep trying to find a way to get back to Manhattan to score a new promotion. She realizes that Christmas magic usually teaches someone something about themselves and maybe that’s what she is supposed to be learning… so how will it all play out for her?

I give this book EASILY 5 out of 5 stars!! It was SO GOOD! I read it in just a few quick days and loved every minute of it and was sad when I would have to put it down to sleep. Such a perfect cozy happy story to read at a time like this. The perfect escape!

Have you read it yet? It just came out this past Tuesday - October 6th, and I HIGHLY recommend going out and snatching yourself a copy :)

*I got this book from Hallmark Publishing and from NetGalley to read and provide my honest review*

I admit it - I am in love with Hallmark movies, and I can watch them all year long. Winterfest. Spring Fling. Love Ever After. Summer Nights. June Weddings. Fall Harvest. And the best of all - COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS! Are they predictable? Of course! Do you know what will happen by the end? Absolutely! But that is not why I love them.

Hallmark movies always have that special element to them, whether it be Christmas magic, spending time with your family you haven't seen in a while, beauty of places I have never been, or just the wacky hi-jinks that can only happen in the movies. There can be a small town you wish you could raise your children in. A new career you wish you had the courage to try. A dog. And best of all, the happy ever after.

I was so excited when I was approved to read an ARC of Christmas Charms by Hallmark Publishing in advance of the 10/06/2020 publication date. It did not disappoint!

There is something about Ashley and Aidan that is electric. I could feel their chemistry jumping off the pages of my book. I could feel every emotion Ashley was going through, whether it was the frustration of trying to get back to Manhattan to try and apply for a promotion, the love of being with her family or the confusion over what the charm bracelet was trying to tell her.

The Christmas scenes had me longing for Halloween and Thanksgiving to fly by (our traditions are for our immediate family, so not much will change outside of not seeing Santa this year). I could not turn the pages fast enough and when I got to the ending, I did not want it to be over. The epilogue had me getting a little bit teary and I gave the happy and contented sigh that can only come with the best happily ever after feeling.

Dear Hallmark - please oh please oh please make this a movie! Here are my picks of who should play Ashley and Aidan: to see who I chose visit my blog at my link text

True to its name, this book is full of charm and whimsy. Light, fun and a little fluffy this is a clean romance about a Manhattan transplant finding love again with her high school sweetheart in the small town she grew up in.

This story is cozy like a gingerbread latte in front of a fire on a cold, winter day

A sweet, uplifting and heartwarming story that made me smile and root for the characters.
It's the perfect Christmas story that make you wish it's already December.

This book oozes Christmas magic and hopefulness. Just what I needed at this time. A light-hearted, positive, lovely book.
This is the story of Ashley, a girl who works in an upscale Manhattan Jewellery store and who thinks she is living the dream. But is she? This year for Christmas she is set to fly to Paris with her boyfriend Jeremy and she is hopeful for a Christmas proposal in Paris. What could be more romantic, right? As you might expect things do not go according to plan and she ends up on a train heading to her small home town of Owl Lake, the place she has not visited in eight years. A chance encounter on the train means she received a beautiful vintage charm bracelet and this sets in motion the events that will lead to a magical Christmas.
This book is the perfect Christmas read.

One of the better PG-13 romances from Hallmark Publishing. Put away your cynicism and enjoy the fluff.

Cute story with a little bit of magic, likable characters and tons of Christmas cheer. I loved it.
