as a women’s college alum, parts of this felt familiar, and it was interesting to learn about this time in history through the different women, but i also struggled to connect to the momentum of the story and the women themselves.

I wanted so much for these women by the end. Would be a five if I felt more familiar with or connected to the detailed setting descriptions. Oxford was as much a character as the Eights.
