Wow. I was so bored by this book! Did not catch my attention at all. Gave up on it four hours into the audio.

This was a great read. I love a story that makes you think in a different way. You don’t think about the women and children left behind to pay for their husband and fathers crimes. How they pick up and move on with their lives after a war. Really fascinating and well written.

I liked this book fair enough but the ending felt rushed and abrupt to me.

I feel like I’m in the minority but I didn’t love this book. Maybe it’s because I’ve read lots of books in this genre that I like better but I honestly found this one kind of boring. Very character driven and while liked the characters I just didn’t find their lives very interesting. There are some twists and turns but I felt like the author either revealed them too soon or too late when I no longer cared about that part of the story.
