4/5 stars (audiobook),
Memoir about what it means to be a Black woman growing up in Chicago with today's beauty standards. This book explores beauty, sexuality, societal norms and pressures. I found her general themes were universal but the overall message felt pretty unique. I don't think there's many books out like this.
