This was pretty good. I’m not sure if I’ll continue it or not but it was interesting and the art style was really nice. I loved learning about all the cryptids.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel for giving me an eGalley for review.

Wow do I love this!! I really enjoy the art style the most, and every page is just gorgeous to look at! The story is also really fun and engaging. I love the mystery aspect of it and that we can learn about different mythological creatures and cryptids while trying to figure out what is going on. It's everything I wanted when I decided to read it. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment, because this is one series I am totally here for.

Gorgeous art, and a fantastical storyline.

The art style in this is beautiful. The story itself is geared towards middle grade, but it didn’t feel very cohesive. The friendships and relationships within just happen we don’t really get to see them happen. It think the mystery part of the story was interesting.

Cute, but pretty crowded with content. Since this is a series, I wish it was expanded more to give readers a chance to breathe before tackling the next mystery.

The artwork is beautiful but the story is not. It isn't actually a story, just a collection of leaps of logic that make not sense and have no continuity or evidence to make it feel real. The kids go outside and see some sick pixies. (How they decided they were sick is beyond me since they had never seen pixies before.) When they come back in they realize that one of their fellow students is missing. For some reason this suddenly means that the pixies have something to do with the girl's disappearance. What? Why? What are you basing that on? If I buy pickles the same day that I see dead baby bird, I can absolutely guarantee that the bird didn't die because I bought pickles. WTF? This is only getting a two star because of the art.
