Another classic about a young girl experiencing love but being circumscribed by society’s expectations of women and class. It doesn’t do anything new or interesting that sets it apart from all the others.

Some prose was stunning to read. But overall it was a slow, boring book with shallow characters and an empty plot. Took me an entire month to finish, and I’m typically a fast reader.

A short classic novel... And so sweet! Lucy Honeychurch is kissed by a boy (gasp!) while on vacation in Italy. The whole thing is hushed up and she gets herself engaged to a prim, pretentious man named CECIL. Of course things get sorted out in the end, but along the way there's plenty of social commentary. Lovely!

A horrible book full of horrible characters saying horrible things. Took me 3 attempts, each a year apart, to finally get through this despite it being less than 250 pages. A love story with a glaring lack of love or romance.
