This book was boring and unimaginative. Set with an exciting background, interesting characters you want to explore, and a hint of paranormal activity Preston still somehow made me fall asleep. He should have written a short text for a dry archeology/history journal and left it at that.

Also...wtf was with the gratuitous bath scene??

This book was great in the facet that it told the perspective of different people involved in the dig at Sutton Hoo House. I liked that it was a novel based on true events. I did not like that some chapters were extremely long and seemed to drag on and on.
