I loved how this started, #KpopWarrior and then it went downhill, it might be realistic to have a messy life as a K-pop idol, but come on, character and plot conflicts at the same time, it's a disaster for Candace, it stressed me a lot. I like the writing style that's why I rated it 4 stars, but good god, there are a lot of problems it made me dizzy, I thought that this story was also rushed to the end, I felt that way.✨

I received a copy of K-Pop Revolution by Stephan Lee from Scholastic Canada in exchange for an honest review.
This is a book that I finished (technically) but also pretty much could be classified as DNF. Which is obviously not a great feeling when it comes to reading. I was looking forward to continuing Candace’s story especially after the way K-Pop Confidential ended. But after getting to the halfway mark, I just couldn’t keep my focus on the story. I felt less invested and from there, I seriously considered just not finishing the book. I skimmed it to the last few chapters and from there, I really did finish the story. And while I liked the way it ended, something about the journey there got lost for me. However, I will say that if you’re really into K-pop culture and really into the drama that is K-pop idols, this book may be able to capture your attention longer. Have I finally outgrown my interest in certain YA novels? Only time and my reading habits moving forward will be able to reveal that.
