I grew up with YA dominating a lot of my middle school years. I fell in love with Divergent, the Hunger Games, and several other series but all the while a lot of my friends praised the Percy Jackson series a ton and I never got around to it until I discovered audiobooks.
Overall I had expected things to be a little bit more dramatic but as a kids book I can't blame it for going the direction it did. I got a lot of harry potter vibes and it very much felt like a Disney* ( yes I know they are developing a series) version of greek mythology. Very watered down and cheesy. But I really did enjoy it.
There were a lot of callbacks to the original stories that I liked, but the amount might've been a bit much. There are at least five main conflicts that Riordan jam packs into the span of a few chapters, and I feel that a little bit more buildup to fewer hazards might of strengthened the story.
Anyway I'm interested on seeing where everything goes!

i liked the story but at times i found the book rather boring. I think that is because i am 18 and i should've read the book when i was younger.
rick riordan hat weirdly den gleichen humor wie ich
