Still holds up incredibly well. Super fun and engaging. Looking forward to continuing the series again. Don’t remember the rest of the books as well so it will be fun!

I really liked this book; it's perfect for a middle school kid. Lots of action, can't help but learn something along the way, and clean. I learned and actually remember all the mythology from the book. Percy is a half blood- he has a mortal mother and his father is a god. The gods are not myths; they exist and are still in control of the world, the weather, and humans. This story follows the typical hero cycle- fix the mistakes of father, fight to prove oneself, a wise side kick. I hope to teach this book.

I loved this, so easy to read and so pacey. I enjoy this adaptation of the greek myths and how it layers onto the real world. so much fun.
