4.5 stars really. I read this after Long Halloween and while it started a little slow the art and characters really held it together for me till the plot picked up.

Pretty fun Catwoman story. The twist comes a little out of nowhere, but it's fun getting there and it resolves well enough. Love the art.

Really fun!! A nice classic look at Catwoman. Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not a fan of her costume in this run. But it's a great read and the art is beautiful, so what more could I want!?

I went into this one completely blind, buying it mostly because I've had a lady crush on Catwoman since forever. It was great for me since it was essentially a side story and I didn't really need to know a lot going in.

I'll say right off the bat that the story is a lot of fun. Selina is her usual sexy, tough self, and doesn't need to be rescued despite having nightmares about Batman. The story was straightforward, but moved a little too quickly for me. The artwork was fun and cool, and I really enjoyed the final battle and its fallout. Now all I want to do is read more of Selina's adventures!

There were a lot of fun moments and a lot of silly, cringey moments. I didn’t really care for the art or writing on this one, though the synopsis is great. I also have always though Riddler and Catwoman should teamup more. They’re two of the rare master criminals who aren’t insane enough to end up in Arkham, so it figures they’d be able to have a professional working relationship. Nope! Aside from suddenly being the size of the Toyman, Nigma behaves like a 14-year-old at a Hooters. Um excuse me, but he Riddler does NOT deserve this kind of misrepresentation. Selina is constantly naked or having clothes removed from her by people or animals, and at one point needs to be told she’s not wearing anything before she realizes it and gets all flustered. For someone who likes to sleep and lounge around naked when traveling with shady people, she spends a lot of time being insulted or embarrassed by “the male gaze”. Still the book had an interesting premise worth reading even if it is manhandled as much as Selina is whenever she closes her eyes. It’s pretty obvious why she’s going to Rome, but I think they want it to be a surprise so I’ll just say aside from the excessive cat puns, Cheetah, Nigma, and Catwoman’s baffling behavior, it’s pretty good.

"They say when you're in Italy, be sure to buy something leather..."

Catwoman has always been one of my favorite characters. Not quite good, not quite bad, but always ensuring she comes out on top, and Jeph Loeb's chronicle into Catwoman's mysterious past is a perfect example of this.

This isn't exactly an origin story, but it is great to take a deeper dive into Selina Kyle's psyche and explore some of her motivations. Plus, who doesn't love a sexy lady beatin' the crap outta some baddies?

Big fan of the Loeb + Sale teamup. Greatly enjoyed The Long Halloween and Dark Victory, but somehow I missed this one. Then I found it at my local library. Same great art and a nice succinct story. My only complaint turned out to be a feature of the plot. Definitely worth a read for the Batman fans out there.
