Thank you to BookSirens for this ARC, which I absolutely cannot fault. A beautifully-written horror novella that genuinely felt real when I was reading it! I loved the mixture of perspectives in telling the story, and the way it was pieced together sort of like a conversation, with the different narratives reacting to each other. I also felt like the characters were really well-fleshed out for such a short story, and I understood their motivations and personalities well. I could have read a full novel in this style!

Even thought Spooky Season never stops for me? This would have been the perfect Spooky Season read.
I received an ARC of this book through BookSirens. I'm glad I did.
I love urban myths and legends. I also like slashers.
This novella had both. A horrible night told from numerous pov's in a small town...
Some teens doing what they ordinarily did only the night wouldn't go as it ordinarily did.
The buildup and scares were good. The action plentiful.
I am now a C.B. Jones fan and need to check out his other work.

I want to give a huge thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review!!!

The urban legend of "Crybaby Bridge" is pretty common. There is one of these said bridges about 20 minutes from where I live. This novella is a unique retelling of this local legend told from various POVs.

I was at first apprehensive reading this as it is told through a collection of interviews and first-hand accounts, which isn't usually my cup of tea. The author made it work, and as I was reading, I got lost in the story, and it felt like watching a slasher movie.

It is a slasher story which, again, is difficult to do in a book form. The author did an excellent job of conveying the suspense and action on the pages of this novella.

I really liked this novella, and I give it a 4.75⭐️ rating rounding up to 5 where applicable. Definitely check this one out!!!

Thank you to the author for providing a review copy.

I really love found footage-style books. This book is a look back at one terrible night in a small town. It's told through interviews with survivors and townspeople. This is a great, fast-paced slasher. I really enjoyed reading it, and the author is definitely on my radar now. 4.25 stars
