I wanted to love this one. The premise is great, the supporting cast of characters are fantastic, and the whole "opposites attract" of it all was the perfect set up. And yet, it fell a bit flat for me. Cade and Selena felt completely underdeveloped as characters and as a couple. One moment they're at odds and the next they're in love? Plus, the same defining characteristics were hammered in over and over again - Cade is "boring" and "stuffy" and Selena is "artsy" and "impulsive." I get that those are who the characters are when we first meet them, but it seems that they didn't really grow from there. And if I had to read about how Cade wears all gray "business" attire one more time, I was going to fling my Kindle across the room.

Overall, it's a cute story that could have used a few more passes to really capture the connection between the characters.

i just feel so deeply emotionally happy about this book!!!!!!!!!!! a fantastic book choice during pride weekend! a great book club choice! lots of great discussions to come of this!!

when reading romance books i always hate how much better of a character the main character’s best friend is, and i wonder why the book didn’t center on her instead. but finally, this book does!

I hated the beginning of this book. I found the main character to be so obnoxious in the opening bit that I almost put it down. Honestly I think the first impression of both main characters was not good, so the book had a lot to recover from for me. I think it mostly got there. I didn't buy a lot of how we got to the relationship status but once there I enjoyed the interplay between them.
