RTC closer to release date!

Love this series soooo much, this one was definitely a bit more emotional than the others!

------

I have so much love for this series and author, and I couldn't wait to get to Meira and Samael's story. Even with the little glimpse that we got of the two in the previous book, I was ready.

I have to say this one wasn't quite what I expected it to since I loved the first two soooo much.

The overall story arc was a huge focus in this one, which left a little for the romance. Ah, the romance, the push and pull between these two were killing me. And the tension, but with both of them devoted to the cause, how are they supposed to be together even if they are fated, mates? THAT's what kept pushing me forward because I needed that HEA even though it wasn't looking hopeful.

With all of that going on, this book is definitely more emotional especially when they have to fight fate. I enjoyed seeing the phoenix sisters use their powers especially Meira.

We have another book to get through and I'm rather anticipating it and seeing the end of it all!

This shapeshifter story was very entertaining, Meira and Samuel's story was very well done, an empath and a loyal, a woman meant to be with Gorgon, the Black dragon king, who is also his mentor, and friend, but there is a twist and they find themselves working together. The tension between them was a slow burn, all the drama, angst, mystery, and betrayal had me hooked from the start. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Warrior King is the 3rd book in the Inferno Rising series and I have to say my favorite so far. I loved both Meira and Samael so much! They have this strong sense of duty that both choose duty over their own heart. Meira offered her hand to the King of the Black Clan to assist in the revenge against King Pytheios, who murdered her parents. Samael Veles had pledged his life and loyalty to the very king that Meira had wed, and his dragon is not happy. Samael may have found his mate, but his loyalty to his king will not allow him to claim her. But as they are on the run together to try to figure out what happened to their king, their attraction and their mating bond could no longer be denied.

Meira and Samael’s story was such a joy to read, in their hearts they knew they belonged together but it was duty over love until they could not fight it. The story is action packed and there are some twists and turns that definitely had me turning the pages. Overall, a great read and looking forward to reading the 4th phoenix sister’s story.

Much better than the sequel. The main characters are actually relatable and likable, but again, the exact same story is told.

After I realized that I started the series way into a world that was already built, I backtracked and now completely understand 100% of what this world really is.

Even without knowing that, these books are well written and informative enough that I did realize I didn’t start at the right point. This is book 4 in this specific series so I do recommend going back to read them all!

This book is about the sweet sister, Meira. The one who loves technology but also loved the medieval lifestyle. Her mother sent her off to stay with the Gargoyles knowing she would be cared for and most comfortable. Her give of being able to see and transport through mirrors allowed her to keep track of her sisters and know what was happening in the world. That lead her into making a choice to mate with the King of the Black dragons.

On her wedding day, everything went wrong. She pines for another man, Samael, but is committed to mating Gorgon and when she is about to tie herself to him in a way that is permanent the worst happens he burns up in her flames. Samael has to choose between protecting his mate or his clan. A difficult choice but ultimately protects Meira while trying to find a way to fix things.

Their relationship is an interesting one. He is loyal to his King but craves his mate. He is so conflicted and she is as well that they want to do what’s right rather than what’s fated.

Personally I didn’t like Meira like I do her sisters. I love her quirkiness but I feel like her bravery is a little forced and conflicts with who she is. I have no problem with that in the grand scheme but I wish she was more sure of herself. Samael is a typical alpha and I don’t feel a connection to him either, kind of a bland character in my opinion.

I did enjoy the read though! Things definitely take a turn for the worst in this book so I can’t wait to see what Angelika brings to the table!
