I initially gave this book four stars but I finished it months ago and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it so I changed it to a five.
So well written and kept me on the edge of my seat! Such an intricate and unpredictable plot. Not a huge fan of how certain immoral decisions were celebrated but it was quite realistically presented which I appreciate.
I liked this, but not nearly as good as her others. Some parts seemed really superficial and the writing was not nearly as good as her later books. But it did keep my interest - and I definitely wasn't going to stop until I found out how it ended!
I had to read this a second time for bookclub, I had forgotten so much having read it just 2 years ago. So it was rather forgettable. Good story actually but she left the story for a very long time with a very long middle section.

I have loved other books by this author and expected this one to be no different. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. Part 1 jumps back and forth between pre-accident and post-accident and between different perspectives without warning which left me a bit confused until I turned back and paid closer attention to the dates. And then part 2 comes along suddenly years ahead without a resolution or development to the love story for several pages. But Part 3 made me want to throw it against the wall. Now, we are ahead three decades and have to learn about the story slowly through someone else’s eyes. I just wanted the dots to connect so we could get on with it.
Loved this book!!!! It is an amazing love story that I did not want to end!
C'est un loin d'être un coup de cœur car je n'ai guère apprécié l'histoire de ce livre. Mais c'est avec plaisir que j'ai retrouvé la plume de Jojo Moyes.
