A heartfelt story of two lovers who are always *just* missing each other. Historical romance isn't usually my thing, but I quite liked this. Also kinda obsessed with the running-after-each-other-in-every-lifetime trope.
This book was a great introduction to a new author for me. I was pulled in right away and found the mix between description and dialogue to be perfect. I highly recommend this book!

Great story, but I have som issues with the writing. Multiple POV’s where you figure out who after a while and timejumps in the same manner.
Such a sweet lovely romance. I love the dual timelines and the impact of love letters from one generation being lost and found again by the next. Such a tragic but lovely story of love and love lost. Definitely a good read.
I adore books that are centered around letters. Especially in this age of texts/twitter/e-mail there is something so kind, intentioned and sentimental about letter writing. I especially enjoyed the sleuthing modern day writer on the detective trail. That story line was more appealing than the characters writing and receiving the letters.
I will say, this book didn't quite pull me in as much of some of her others. Overall, a wonderful diversion from reality.

Kirja seuraa tarinaa jopa kolmessa eri aikajaksossa jotka nivoutuvat yhdeksi kirjan loppuvaiheissa. Tämä oli ensimmäinen Moyesin kirja jonka olet lukenut, ei päässyt ihan lempilukemistoon mutta aion lukea Moyesia jatkossakin. En sanoisi välttämättä helppolukuiseksi, sillä välillä oli tosi vaikeaa tietää missä mennään. Tarinan idea oli ihan mielenkiintoinen.

I don’t want to include any spoilers, so I will say that I quite enjoyed reading this book, and it was an emotional rollercoaster from start to end. The story goes a bit slow in the beginning and throughout Ellie’s storyline (whom I will admit I found almost boring) but beyond those two minor, minor faults, I adore this story and I would most definitely read it again.
