This was a two-fold story about not only a romance, but also about civilization and evolution in the face of tradition. I was very impressed with how deep and insightful this story was in comparison to other stories in this series. I'm sure it was a real challenge to tell an entire history and awakening of a civilization with a limited word count, but McLeod pulled it off admirably in a way I could never begin to attempt. Truly masterful. Bravo
