I didn't like this as much as some of the authors other books. It was a little slow in some places and I felt like I didn't really connect with the characters as much, but it was fairly entertaining. It was clean and fun.

Not as good as the last one, but it made me see the connection these novels had with Jane Austen novels. I think I picked up on the one plot element before the author intended the reader to, which made me feel bright, but as a result, the revelation of it had less of a twist for me.

I don't usually cry over books but Beth Pattillo has a habit of making me teary eyed. Several times in this book I found myself with tears in my eyes. Her emotions come across so pure to me, so true that they just get to me. This was a wonderful book. It took me much longer to read than it normally would have due to things that were going on in my life. It was a joy to read and I loved the two main characters. There were surprises in this one and I really enjoyed it.

I rate this as 3.5 instead of just a 3. This book has an interesting premise. At first, I was worried it would be just like Austenland (which I liked but I didn't want the same kind of story again) and fortunately, it wasn't. The ending was a bit too convenient but it is a fun book. I found myself skimming near the end but I enjoyed the book a lot.
