This was a page turner til the very end. At times I was rooting for June and then I was appalled by her comments at the next page. This book shows all of the facets of how the court of public opinion rules at a whim. I loved how they didn't shy away from both sides of racial issues and while it was definitely hard to take as a white cis woman, it was well-written and allowed me to put myself into someone else's shoes for 300+ pages.

WOW! This book was excellent!! I loved to hate the characters, but still almost wanted to like them and watch them be ok. Not only was this an incredibly entertaining portrayal of a downward spiral, but this book also gave interesting insight into what it’s like to publish a book, even if it was in an unserious way. I intend to seek out another book from this author because I liked this one so much.
