I expected this to be a lot more emotionally devastating than it was. And it wasn't apathetic by any means... It's just not trauma porn. It feels very "straight shooting". 

Sometimes the writing gets a little academic or jargon-y but never past the point of being accessible. 

This hasn't changed my life or anything, but it was a good way to spend my day

It seems like an unrealistic promise but if one isn't changed by his words - I wonder what can.
