Definitely best read after coming home from Paris.
He's got a homophobic line we could have done without.
Mostly I didn't really care and just wanted to read more about Scott Fitzgerald and his dick size insecurities. It's fine dude. Just look at the statues in the Louvre. Omg. Best part. Worth all the boring coming before and after that.
I hate his vague, starkness. It makes me itchy because I want more. I want to sink into it but most of the time the conversations are so stark and simple that I'm just walking away hungry. Feeeeeed me. I guess I'm just a purple prose whore & this is like walking into the church of bare necessity writing where we are superior to you and you are a dirty sinful girl to want more words and more feelings. So be it.

I’m undecided on a star rating at the moment. My reading experience and enjoyment fluctuated. I read a chapter at a time over a few weeks. I felt my attention wasn’t really grabbed and I was quite happy to meander through this book.
I was getting a little bit bored until the chapter ‘A Matter of Measurements’ which was highly entertaining.
‘We went over to the Louvre and he looked at the statues but still he was doubtful about himself. ‘It is not basically a question of the size in repose,’ I said. ‘It is the size that it becomes. It is also a question of angle.’
I want to give it a higher star rating just for that line. However, the over use of the word ‘and’ did annoy me quite a lot… especially as I got in trouble for doing that in my school days.
