Alright. Nice snippets of his life in Paris as I too sort of live in Paris. He is kinda a pretentious little dude though not sure if I love love love his outlooks on things. But I like his brazen honesty and openness

I wasn't really impressed with this book, which isn't surprising, as I care for very little that Hemingway wrote. I had read such interesting things about it, however, and so I found it rather a let-down.

Ok I get it. Reading so much didion has helped. He’s sneaky and ironic. He’s vague but it’s part of the humor. He’s playing a character.

I feel like I came away with a picture of what it was like there in the 20s. Not everything, but the day to day. He’s very good at day to day, at revealing conversations. You fall into a rhythm with him and it feels like walking around with him. What a place to be.
