I continue to be impressed with this graphic adaptation of A Game of Thrones. Many scenes actually send chills down my spine. I appreciate that the artist didn't just try drawing the actors from the HBO show, but instead offers a fresh visualization of many characters and elements from the first novel in the series.
I also like the relatively slow pacing (for a comic book that could have sought to simply catch up and offer a super-abridged version): This is the third out of four volumes that will cover A Game of Thrones. Some of the prequel books (Hedge Knight etc.) have already been published as comics, though I haven't been able to ascertain whether those are from the same creative team, with the supervision of George R.R. Martin. Presumably, after volume four is finished, they'll start publishing monthly comics that adapt A Clash of Kings.

It's been a couple years since I've read any of the novels, and over a season since I've watched the HBO show. Knowing what's to come from multiple sources has been adding to my enjoyment and excitement so far, and I plan to continue to read this series each time a new trade is released.

Another beautiful edition of game of thrones, as much as the series is beautiful anyway.
Probably an easier way to get into this series if you are intimidated by the sheer volume of pages in the normal paperbacks.

Great recap and reminder of what has happened while I watch the show and listen to the second book in the series on audiobook! So many different GoT formats!

I still really dislike the drawings, but the story is quite okay. its nice to get to know other things than what the show presents.

Like the previous books , I loved reading it. I can't wait to read the next since it ended badly , so I 'm anxious to know what will happen afterwards. nothing goes well for anyone .
Spoiler Lannister is held hostage by Lady Stark, Bran is attacked by deserters from the night guard , Robert, no longer wants to be Ned the king's hand etc.
I look forward to see if there will be more positivism in the next book :)
