I guess I now realize that this four-volume series just covers the first book in a Song of Ice and Fire. That totally makes sense since it is so long. I wonder why the next several books do not have graphic novels? Not enough care? (Oh, I learned that volume 1 of book 2 is now out, but by a different adapting author, not Daniel Abraham, so maybe they’re coming but just slowly?)
Anyways, this graphic novel was just as fun as the book, but shorter and more ‘pretty’ I guess? It was nicely drawn and well-summarized to follow along with the book nicely. I look forward to the next one.

Just as amazing as the first two volumes of this series- Everything in this collection was wonderful- the storyline, the character development and expression, the artwork, the coloring, the flow... and the DETAIL! Oh my goodness, there is so much detail in every panel. You can tell how much planning and work went into the creation of this series. Very well done

Eddard je vážně raněn a král Robert se vydává na nebezpečný lov. Jon mezitím prochází výcvikem na Zdi. Cathlyn se dostane na Orlí hnízdo za svou sestrou Lys Arryn, kam přivede svého zajatce, se kterým Lys nezachází zrovna v rukavičkách. Zajatec chce soud před bohy a ten mu taky bude dopřán. Eddard se dozví tajemství, kvůli kterým zemřel Jon Arryn. Jon se vydá za Zeď, aby zde před starými bohy složil přisahu bratrstvu, když jeho zlovlk Duch přinese, co nalezl v lese. Najdou tam své ztracené bratry průzkumníky. Denearys je spolu s celou hordou ve Vaes Dothrak s Dosh Khaleenem, posvátném městě Dothraků, kde musí sníst srdce hřebce, aby se jí narodil silný a rychlý syn. Pokud se jí to nepovede, mohlo by se jí narodit zdeformované nebo mrtvé dítě, anebo dcera. V Dosh Khaleenu žijí staré ženy a děti, to Denearys nahání husí kůži. Její bratr stále vyžaduje svou odměnu, takže mu Khal Drogo snad konečně dá jeho vysněnou zlatou korunu. Setkáme se také s Jinými. A v Královském přistavišti musí Sansa učinit velké rozhodnutí.

I haven't read the books or watched the show, and the graphic novels have done a really good job of telling the story in few words.
