Some time has passed since part 2 with Don Diego Vega is again retired from being Señor Zorro, but Señorita Lolita was ill so they aren’t married yet. In this sequel we have now the classic trope of somebody dawning the mask of the hero pretending to be him. Fake Zorro attacks not the villain from the first two book, but rather the people that Zorro helped previously. Goes after the women and children which forces Don Diego on the run of the authorities. Like anything original is better than the fake as this fake Zorro needs three strokes to carve the letter Z in the chick while the Zorro does it one fluid single motion. Also, the original protects the innocents. The only real disappointment is that we just get another captain Ramon archetype character in Captain Rocha. This series needs better villains. The ending was cool though.
