Fox is such a dream and Hannah is such a boss-lady!
This book has all the tropes that I am craving for all in one. Friends to lovers, slow burn, and spice! YAAAAAS!!!!
I just didn't like how the ending is similar to the first book and the epilogue was kind of meh, BUT I ENJOYED EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT! I GOBBLED THAT SHIT UP!!!!!

Hannah passa 90% do tempo deste livro tentando se convencer que ela é uma leading lady e não uma personagem secundária (como ela mesma aponta) e não faz um bom trabalho nisso, nem pra si mesma nem para mim, leitora. Acho que não é atoa que ela de fato era uma personagem secundária na história da Piper, que foi muito mais divertida de ler. Eu acredito que uma história precisa de conflitos, não precisa ser nada elaborado, mas conflitos são necessários, sejam eles internos ou externos. A Hannah não tem nenhum dos dois, mas Fox, o interesse amoroso, tem ambos, e por vezes ele parecia ser o protagonista e não ela. Os conflitos eram todos dele, como ele foi objetificado e sexualizado desde pequeno, os daddy issues, os traumas de relacionamento e o medo de não ser um capitão respeitável do Della Ray (e nenhuma dessas coisas foi bem desenvolvida). A Hannah não tinha conflito NENHUM, o crush dela no diretor durou uns 2 capítulos e tudo sempre sempre dava certo pra ela, eu sentia que ela estava ali só para fazer Fox superar os traumas dele, e foi o que ela fez durante o livro inteiro, ela orbitava ao redor dele e parecia existir muito pouco além dele. Tanto que o único outro conflito dela era se ela ia largar o emprego pra ficar ali com ele. Nem o super conhecimento dela por música foi muito convincente, parecia que a autora abriu o spotify, digitou bandas famosas e escolheu a música mais ouvida de cada um (e a conexão deles por meio da música durou só até o prólogo).
O engraçado é que a Hannah tem main character material, daquelas histórias que eram famosas na metade dos anos 2000 porque ela é completamente not like other girls, mas colocar ela depois da Piper, que era divertida DEMAIS de ler, não ajudou muito.
Sobre esse livro, já dizia a maravilhosa Isabela Boscov, eu queria gostar muito dela, mas eu percebi que eu estava me esforçando e não estava obtendo nenhum resultado.

I enjoyed this more than the first book in the series. I liked that the person who was doing all the self-doubting in this relationship was the man instead of the woman; I feel like it's usually the other way around in romances. I enjoyed Hannah as a character, too. The ending and resolution felt a little rushed. Fun overall!

Considering I’ve tried twice to read the first one of these, I was cautious about reading this— even though Tessa Bailey is an autobuy author for me. But I loved this. Adored. The utter faith that Hannah had in herself (even while she lacked confidence) was so awesome, and I love a hero willing to do the work on themselves.
