Love this series! ❤️
In the first book I wasn’t sold on the FMC but now I’ve warmed to her and enjoying her discovering her powers.
The multiple POV is great but some of the transitions move you out of the action - this is good as you have to keep reading to get back to the other characters but at times I was like noooooo!
The pacing is great throughout and I flew through the book.
All the characters are great, there’s good representation of different fantasy characters. Gender and sexuality are also well represented. I actually cannot pick a favourite character.
Good romance with limited spice.
Found family vibes that is just lush.
Epic world building, court intrigue and lots of adventure…this book just offers everything.
Thanks so so much to the author for the E-ARC, this review is voluntary and my own.

Now that I'm a bit more stable I felt ready to finally finish this! And by this I mean the second book in a series that will continue to have a chokehold on me until its completion. The saying goes for any of Nicole's books they are just epic. The perfect recipe, great characters, amazing storyline and character you cannot help but love even if Fate is stacked against them. I can't believe I finished it! I still want more I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out !

Songs of Sacrament by Nicole Bailey is book two in the Siren's Song series. I just love all of Nicole's characters! They hook you immediately, and she's able to balance progressing the plot while also being character driven. I am loving learning more about this world.

We pick up with Lira, Sai, and the gang after that nasty little cliffhanger in book one. We get a fake marriage, and Lira wants nothing to do with Sai. All Sai wants is for Lira to forgive him. We also get a prophecy! I know I'm being vague, but I'm trying really hard not to spoil anything! We get POV chapters from Lira, Sai, and Neia like in book one, but we also get POV chapters from Lennox and Shaan, our two heartbroken princes. We also hear from Lira's siren friend Margo as she tries to work against Palaria and King Carrington.

I gotta say, this is the first book I've ever read that described exactly how I felt when I met my partner. Sai is greyromantic (and so am I), which means he never experienced romantic attraction until he met Lira. The way Nicole expresses it, the intensity of it all, really hit home for me. I'm here for this amazing Greyromantic rep! I still just wanna hug Lennox and make sure he's okay, but I kinda wanna shake Shaan even if he does have a good reason to be upset. Still no Luz chapters though 👀.

These books are just so good! Although, I feel weird now saying Unseelie now since it's considered a slur in this series 😂. There is plenty here for the romance lovers and the fantasy lovers. Go buy Nicole's books!

dnf 44%. i feel so bad for dnfing this book because the author sent me an ARC and i was soooo excited because book 1 was so fun but i couldn’t bring myself to care about this sequel. this installment also used popular tropes but somehow they didn’t hit? there was barely any action and the main character’s behavior was just so silly to me! i get it, you feel betrayed but why are you overreacting like that?? it’s a fun series, don’t get me wrong, just not for me unfortunately. i’d recommend it to people especially since it has a sapphic side couple?!? like yayyy💅✨
