Unexpected stories, not necessarily about the acting, big parts and career highs but (some of) the bits in between.
The most "show biz" it gets is some reflection on the success of Good Will Hunting and the romance with Matt Damon. This is certainly not a kiss and tell.
Instead what you get is thoughtful, funny and often moving accounts of some pretty momentous personal events - the birth of her son, the death of her mother - as well as childhood, 90s raves, living by the sea... Enjoyable, relatable and revealing.
I imagine the audiobook, read by her, adds a layer of enjoyment.
The book is both a satisfying read, and leaves me curious to hear more stories from her.
