Quite good for a celebrity memoir. Definitely not a "tell all". A series of essays that give you a sense of where Ms. Driver came from and who she is. She is certainly an interesting and unique person.

Excellent Essay Memoir!

The Chapter Daffodils gutted me. I weeped. I empathize.

I love & adore Minnie Driver. Been a fan since I saw her in circle of friends in theaters. Absolutely Love her.

She is classy and sassy.

I love how the book is not like most celeb memoirs with name dropping & slashing down other celebrities or directors. She doesn’t even talk about her time filming on film sets. Not really. Its different.

And it’s like reading a fictional story but it’s real from her life. She is that good of a writer. It doesn’t feel like a memoir.

It’s her life outside of all of that Hollywood gossip. I loved that. It was Around her, yes. But it’s stories & deep feelings & love & loss. I loved that. It was unique that way.

I really REALLY loved reading it.

I have been a longtime fan of Minnie Driver, so when I saw she'd written a book, I chose the audio intentionally so I could listen to her fantastic voice. She did not disappoint. Her book is a series of essays that go in a general chronological order and shed light on different experiences and relationships in her interesting and yet surprisingly normal life. She is vulnerable and self-depreciatory. It wasn't laugh-out-loud funny but I was truly entertained. Every once and a while I was a little exhausted by her existential musings but most of the time I appreciated how thoughtfully she looked at the turns her life had taken. From sneaking past the coast guard to hotels in Miami, from school productions to feature films, Minnie's life experiences have provided much food for thought. I'm a fan.

Love this book, and my affection for this woman has grown. A fantastic life, Minnie is a brilliant storyteller, and some of the stories contained in this book are hilarious and amazing.
Seriously, who allows a child to travel and stay in Miami alone, wtf??? Her story about giving birth had me giggling, it summed up parenthood perfectly, you can make plans, but fate will have its way.
One of my favourite books this year.
