This is so boring already. I didn’t care about her rockstar dad being overprotective or how she was about to lie to him.

Elle Kennedy really said this is for the directioners.
adventurous emotional funny reflective slow-paced

This was the cute and light palet cleanser I was looking for! The side quest was a fun extra I didn’t know I was getting. The end was a tad predicable but it was exactly what I needed!
A fun read for sure.

mad about how stupid she was being with the love triangle (STOP GOING AFTER ANOTHER GIRLS BOYFRIEND!!!!!!) and this is for sure a self-insert but man is it too much to ask for for a silly uk summer (also i love all her flatmates they are perfect and i adore them) ((ALSO my primary school was called pembridge so that made me happy))
adventurous lighthearted medium-paced

This book was decent overall. The writing wasn’t my favorite. It definitely felt like a book that I would have loved in high school but isn’t really my taste now. The little love triangle felt like it went on for the whole book but wasn’t super interesting. Both guys weren’t that special in my opinion. I liked Abbey overall. Her love of history and thirst for independence was fun to read. The little mystery side plot was kinda fun but I didn’t love how she kept comparing it to her romantic problems. Overall a cute book just didn’t wow me. 🌶️.5 spice with technically two different third act breakups

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I will never regret reading Elle Kennedy tbh but this one was not for me. It had good vibes though and I’d def recommend this to hardcore YA enjoyers. I could just tell it was sposed to be a teen’s POV and the non-romance plot just kind of sidetracked me. But cute ending!! Also love triangles stress me the fuck out I can’t lie.

This was cutesy but not everything I’d hoped for. I liked the London setting and the history mystery vibes as I also love a library. But I don’t love a love triangle, I would have liked this much better as an angsty slow burn. And I feel like the mystery all wrapped up in 2 pages. I wish the discoveries were stretched out more, giving us time to wonder with the puzzle pieces before the solution
