One of my very favorite things about this author is how well she writes chemistry with her characters. Cullen and Wynn have off-the-charts amazing chemistry! The steamy scenes are super hot and the romance sweet and sexy. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for more by this author!

Not sure what's going on but this is the second book (Racer being the 1st) of Ms. Evan that I give a 1 star rating and 1 star is being generous. This book was absolute garbage and complete waste of my reading time.

3.5 stars!

Katy Evans takes us to a lust filled, sexy world with high risk gambling, amazing characters chemistry, sizzling hot passion, and a lot of heart and I was all for it!! Playboy is a really great addition to one of my favorite series of all-time, the Manwhore series. Cullen and Wynn's story is every bit as entertaining and addicting as all the books before it. Their whirlwind romance had me swoony and fanning myself all at the same time. I loved their flirting. Their games. Their bets. Their fiery connection. Katy Evans does not disappoint!!

I really liked the characters. Wynn was someone whose story I was definitely looking forward to reading but it was Cullen who drew me in right away. He's so alluring, intriguing and has a very dominant presence. He oozes sex and mystery. I loved that he's not the typical rich guy. There's an element of risk with what he does. Before I read this, the thought of a gambler never appeal to me. I could use me one right about now. Especially if he, looks, sounds, and acts like Cullen Carmichael. I could not get enough of him!! In addition to all his hotness, he also has a lot of compassion and care. It’s not overtly apparent but you definitely feel it. When he cares he cares deeply. I absolutely loved that he tries to bring out different sides to Wynn - a risk taker side. She is struggling with self doubt and lacks confidence after a break up. As the story continues you see so much growth and confidence radiating off of her.

This book, this series, is a must read. Katy Evans writing just gets better and better. I highly recommend pick this book up.

✩ 2.5 stars.

”I’m confident because she knows, just as I do. There’s something here. Something beyond games and money, beyond art and poker, even beyond the prize waiting for us at the end. We’re not done here yet.”

callan and olivia set the bar way too high.

Something was missing with this one. I have liked all the other Katy Evans books that I have read, but this one was predictable and choppy. The whole premise seemed promising until I started reading it. The whole bet thing was ridiculous. Why would strangers make a bet like that?? It was too much to be even close to realistic (usually realism isn't important to me - but since this was the whole premise of their relationship, it really bothered me). And the title of the book (Playboy) was never really explained. They brought up that he is a playboy but it is never discussed in any depth. I never got the impression that he slept around or dated around. It was weird. The heroine was also highly irritating. She was so resistant to the idea of love and her back and forth got exhausting. I barely finished the book. Should have DNF'd.

This ARC was provided by Social butterfly PR all opinions are my own.

Please note that you can definitely read this book on its own but to be part of the family i recommend starting from the first book Man whore , there are smexy characters waiting for you.

So i actually thought that manwhore series was going to end with Callan, but nope aunty Katy had Cullen Carmichael to wake up my hunger for bootiful people.

Wynn has just broken up with her long-time boyfriend and she’s on a date when she meets hot, broody smexy Cullen the poker player nicknamed playboy . They make a bet and then the sexual tension of a life time begins.

If you are familiar with Katy’s writing you know you are in for a ride and by the time you finish the book you’ll be begging Jah for a Cullen Carmichael to show up at your door.

Now if you are not familiar with Katy’s writing, grab some popcorn and get comfy if you have a boyfriend throw him out the window because when you finish the book you’ll have higher standards ( *okay wait don’t do that *).

Wynn is Rachel, Lizzy and Gina’s best friend ( read Manwhore 1-4 to understand). she’s a serial dater because she is looking for that happy ever after just like her parents have but princess just keeps meeting heartbreak and the last one was just way too painful.

I liked the new side of Wynn in this book, when she was with the girls in the other books i thought she was this happy, strong woman that had everything going well for her but we get to see a vulnerable Wynn hereand i did enjoy that. She brings out the best in Cullen and they compliment each other, she shows her playful and sensual side with him.

Now to the most important part of this book…my future boyfriend *ahem* Cullen Carmichael. Ermm excuse me God and all the angels in heaven, evolution and everything else on earth WHERE THE HELL IS MY CULLEN CARMICHAEL? Okay i’m done screaming.

Lets paint a picture. He’s a dark broody son of a unicorn, he’s a well known playboy, he rich, he’s an alpha and he fwiiiinee.

Cullen is a professional poker player, he has his own superstitions for Wyning a game ( see what i did there). He has his doubt about women because he’s been burnt in the past but then he see’s the red angel Wynn and he’s about to start thinking of happy ever.

The whole gang is present in this book, we get a glimpse of Rachel and Malcolm’s baby, Tahoe and Callan smitten with their girls and now Wynn’s joining them.

I was all smiles from the beginning of the book till the end and of course i did not want it to end. I loved the writing, Cullen had his POV and i lived for it. Katy’s writing is easy to follow, you will fall in love with the characters and they will forever have a place in your heart.

So why am i trying to convince you to read this book, simple: YOU NEED CULLEN and WYNN IN YOUR LIFE. I’ll right here when you come back to thank me.
