There are brief tense and subjectively sad parts but they’re brief and the sad ones read more introspective
Moderate: Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail, Xenophobia, Blood, Classism, and Sexual content
The sexual content isn’t depicted, just briefly mentioned. The xenophobia is emblematic in how humans don’t really interact with robots anymore so the premise of the narrative is novel and ideologically challenging for one of our leads.emily_koopmann's review

I don’t know what I was expecting from this book, but it was so much more than anything I could have imagined.
While it was short, it gave so much information and thought provoking dialogue. The discussions between robot and monk were always deep, but not so deep they were overwhelming and too much.
I finished this in one sitting, and it was so thrilling that I immediately acquired the second one.
Absolute recommend.
