A delightful reflection on the meaning of life. I didn’t know what to expect but I wanted to re-explore Becky Chambers other books. Really loved the gender-neutral characters who didn’t struggle with their gender. It was a fact, acknowledged, and moved on to tell a different story.
Minor: Sexual content, Animal death, Slavery, Self harm, Cultural appropriation, and Cursing

I love this book. It feels very homely and cozy, with just that sprinkle of future tech to keep it interesting. The setting descriptions are beautiful, and the main character feels very real, and very familiar. I love that most of the book feels inner monologue-ish, while not actually being so. I am looking forward to checking out the other book in this series.
