Beautifully written. Stunning descriptions. Nonetheless, I really did not like inhabiting this world of people who assume the worst of each other (and apparently for good reason because they’re all sort of awful), where horrid things happen to innocent creatures (children, animals), and life is a scary tightrope about to wobble and plunge you into the abyss.
