While I don't mind age gap relationships, cheating does bother me. I don't like it when a man does, I don't like it here. Worse, that stringing a partner along while having an affair because of something her husband did before meeting her. I get being angry at the secret, I get that, but ffs. Also, while I repeat myself in that I do not mind ages gaps, it gave me the ick she was constantly comparing her lover to her son.

Boring with an abrupt ending.

This book was so frustrating. I was rooting for the main character and by the end, I couldn’t stand her.

I liked so much of this, but from pages 50-100 it’s all just internal dialogue- so boring. I just wanted the story to keep moving!

Hated the end too, which is why I knocked it down to 2 stars instead of 3.

This was so immersive that I feel like I had a passionate love affair in Paris. I literally felt like I had to admit to my partner that I read this. I'm shocked at how much I enjoyed it

If Paris by Taylor Swift was about a messy woman in her forties having an affair with a Timothee Chalamet lookalike.
