🤷🏽‍♀️ stars.

I just don’t know how to rate a Rina Kent book. The sketchy consent in the beginning almost threw me all the way off.

Ended up devouring the rest. Deviant for sure. I guess 3-4 stars?? Definitely enjoyed them as much as the God of war, wrath etc series

I really enjoyed this read, I was iffy on Kane in the beginning, but by the end I loved him, his development was so good. The tension, the banter, the plot all done well. I liked how despite the dark themes there were moments I was laughing too. Definitely check your trigger warnings!!

She just copy and pasted all her other books to make this one. The men always plot something and knew the women plan all along. Didn't enjoy it so much.

RINA KENT OMFG!!!!!

I'm obsessed with this book. Kane and Dahlia have easily become one of my favorite dark romance couples of all time. The way that they both like a little primal play in the bedroom but are actually the cutest, most cinnamon-roll MCs that I've ever read.

These two are the definition of they'll burn the world down for one another and I'm obsessed with them for that exact reason. The way that Kane is so down bad from page one... and we later find out that he's been down bad EVEN LONGER... and he's so possessive and protective. I never feared when she was in danger because I knew he would show up to save the day every single time.

But Dahlia is equally as protective. The minute she finds out about his childhood and the traumas he still faces and immediately does any and everything in her power to protect him. This girl truly loves him so deeply and unconditionally (even when she doesn't want to) and I loved seeing a woman who is equally as down bad as her man.

And then there's the plot which was just downright exquisite. It set the rest of the books up so well with still enough mystery to keep you guessing and I'm so excited to see where we go from here.

Also, bonus points for the groveling. I would've folded way faster than Dahlia with that man waiting for me outside my house day in and day out... AND HIS LOVE DECLARATION!

Goodbye. I'm deceased. Kane Davenport is my cause of death.
