I’m sorry RK but this book was not it for me.
The mmc literally BACKHANDS, full on slaps the fmc across the face early on. I can handle dark content but that just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Like what kind of icky behaviour is that? I fear that skewed my perception of the mmc too early and I couldn’t move past it.
This really felt like RK tried to recycle some of her other mmc’s and slap a “hockey” label on him to make him feel different.
The romance?? It was no where to be seen, this was completely lust driven for at least 80% of this book.
Will I still read the next book in this series? Yes, because Rina’s books can very much be hit or miss. This one was a BIG miss for me.

this was...decent I guess? in Rina Kent measures I mean.
Kane was boring at best. With Dahlia I couldn't even understand her actions at all sometimes, and the only parts that intrigued me were those little snippets and foreshadowing between Jude and Violet. Also, Kayden and Gareth having a little cameo in here was so nice and cute<3 I wish we could have gotten a bit more of them but I guess I'll just have to reread ktv for that
