I wanted to love this but found my self skimming a bit. After reading other books from this author, this one -for me- was meh. The plot had potential but it didn’t really feel thought out. I also felt the chemistry was forced, Dahlia and Kane simply didn’t hit the mark for me.

I absolutely loved seeing these characters grow and the banter between the boys was amazing. I loved how Preston never called Dahlia by her actual name. Kane's character development was the chef's kiss. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for the next one.

Rina Kent does it again! My God! Give me a dark hockey bully with a dark past in a secret societ any day of the week. Kane and Dahila match each other perfectly. Are they toxic? Yes and I love it! Dahlia will do anything it takes to discover her sister's attacker even if that means getting close to the most dangerous man she's ever had the displeasure of meeting. Kane is intrigued by Dahlia's wit and her willingness to get under his sink at every turn. So if you're like me and love a man who screams alphahole, this book is for you!

I. Ate. This. Book. Up. Just the perfect blend of dark romance with a sprinkle of emotional connection. And Rina knocked it out of the park by leaving us with a plot line cliffhanger to have me itching for the next book. I think anyone who loves a dark twist to their romance needs to pick this book up! Obviously check for your trigger warnings that are a hard no.
