Once you get to talking around policies, committees & re-elections, the book seems to move at a glacial pace. However I do understand polices helped provide us legitimacy & space within our state. As a second volume, I don’t think it can compare to its predecessor. Still an essential read, but perhaps in snippets of what you’re not familiar with.

I wanted to like it, but it was very dry and there were a lot of factual errors that made the entire book suspect.
