I could not remember the movie so I don’t know if this is the same as the book. The book was fine, got a bit boring sometimes. Glad to have continued the series. 2,75 ⭐️

I was at the middle of the book when I seriously asked myself, why do I keep on reading? It took me a major effort to finish it. Since this book is one of the most known ones in the Chronicles of Narnia I expected big things so I ended being truly disappointed. After reading The Horse and His Boy, I couldn’t help but thinking that Prince Caspian had the same exact plot (go from this place to this place and then battle), with the difference that hardly anything happens when the Pevensies travel. I was getting really irritated because I was reading pages and pages without anything important happening, not even the slightest hint of action, I felt like I was reading a meticulous road trip narration instead of a story taking place in a magic world. I found Caspian to be a very one-dimensional character, the rest of the characters are mostly supporting characters, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I already knew the Pevensie’s siblings I wouldn’t have felt attached to them in this story. To make it all worse, the plot was simple, the characters were simple, but the writing style didn’t match in simplicity so it irked me a lot. So anyway, I hope that the other books in the Chronicles are better.
