I've had a lot on my plate recently but I still was able to finish this book. This was one of the better series I've read and I really liked it. That plot twist at the end... nearly killed me. I also loved how there were many plots layered onto each other. Like friendship problems between Sage and Clare, the drama between Alex and Sage (notice how those all involve Sage) and, of course, the main plot, with the queen and Huzar and everything. I'm not sure whether I like Sage's whole personality and character but it is definitely not the worst I've seen.

J'ai eu beaucoup beaucoup de mal avec ce tome ci ! Les personnages étaient (pour moi) la plupart du temps imbuvables ! Immature et toujours en train de s'embrouiller sans jamais vraiment communiquer c'était extrêmement frustrant à lire ! Au début Sage m'a tellement énervé par un comportement que j'ai trouvé très enfantin...elle campait sur ses positions sans même chercher à écouter et essayer de comprendre les motivations d'Alex ! Et j'ai trouvé que toute la dispute était très exagéré... et ensuite Clare est aussi devenue insupportable... le comportement se Sage, Clare ou même Lani dans ce tome était les 3/4 du temps insupportable et j'ai eu énormément de mal à lire ce livre que j'ai aussi trouvé très très long...j'ai eu l'impression d'avoir un mixe des deux premiers tomes mais pas d'avoir de vraie liaison entre tout les tomes...

This was a wonderful ending. I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this beauty and will be going into work with not my usual amount of sleep.
But it was worth it.
I loved this series for how out of the norm it is, Sage isn’t a princess, Alex isn’t a prince they are just people trying so the right and it’s so refreshing. I loved how I didn’t even need to a reread before diving it, but now I want to. Because I just closed the book and I already miss them.
I connected to Sage a lot in the book with the waiting for Alex but I’m glad she was able to grow and stand up on her own and save a whole kingdom in the process.
Alex grew too and watching Sage and him develop as a couple was so inspiring.
All of the side characters were also so well developed. We had Clare and Cass and Lani and now Zoroya and they were all developed all dealt with their own troubles they had to overcome.
I found the plot to be super enticing. A big game of who did it with the stakes a lot higher, a lot of lies and a lot of politics but none of it felt boring, like politics can do.
Spectacular. I can’t wait to reread them.

Après un début qui commençait à être redondant et qui pour moi tournait trop autour de l’amour des protagonistes, on est vite happé par de nouvelles aventures. On découvre encore de nouveaux personnages ou d’autres sont plus approfondis. Dans ce tome on suit une enquête et j’ai vraiment été surprise par le dénouement ! Au final avec la trilogie on parcourt bien la carte avec ce monde que j’ai adoré. Pour finir, cette trilogie est conclue en beauté. Bref une saga que je recommande !
Önskar att jag läst om de två tidigare böckerna innan jag gav mig in i den här, men den var ändå fantastisk. Har saknat den sortens böcker jag brukade läsa förr och den här passar perfekt in i den kategorin.
omg I'm so sad that I'm done with this series. I really enjoyed all the books although the second was my least favourite. I'm surprised that I liked it so much because I despise politics in books because its usually EXTREMELY BORING (I'm talking about you, The Remnant Chronicles). Anyways although politics was one of the main focuses I still really loved it. All the guys in these books are the best. Alex and Cass have my heart but I love all of them. Now I wanna buy these books physically
There was so much about this to love. Though slow-moving at times, I was thoroughly engaged. So much of this book was politics and negotiations, but Erin Beaty handled it like a champ! I was invested in every moment, amazed by how complex every little thing was, and the risks everyone took to prevent a war! Gosh, I love this series. Sad to see it end, but hopeful for more in the future! Also, Sage and Alex are my OTP.
