The Traitor's Kingdom is the conclusion to the Traitor's Circle trilogy. On the whole I liked it. There was a misunderstanding/lack of communication that frustrated me, but it also was understandable as people are imperfect as we don't always properly convey what we are truly thinking, feeling, and need (honestly, sometimes we ourselves don't truly understand that and so it is hard to convey that to others). I did have the person/group pegged, but it was what I would have chosen if writing the book and what made the most sense to the characters/story.
I give this a very high three stars, 3.75

I enjoyed the finale of this trilogy! I *did* have a feeling about who was behind the assassination attempt, and I was right, but I still enjoyed seeing all the puzzle pieces fit together just right so that the book had the best overall result. I definitely recommend the trilogy if you’re a fan of political intrigue and fantasy peppered with a smidge of YA romance. Sure, it’s convenient that Sage is always at the center of everything, but it’s the world of YA where a teen girl can be the savior of a world or country, so why not? This was fun.
I enjoyed this one the most. Again, I did see who the traitor would be, but it didn't spoil the book as it was entertaining, waiting for everyone else to catch up and see the obvious!
The story just kinda got a little too cheesy for my liking
Last book in the series and it was wrapped up well IMO! Loves Lani’s last scene - she is one of my favorite characters. I guessed the twist but it was still shocking to read. Sad to say goodbye to this series - it’s become one of my favorites!
I really enjoyed this trilogy, however I felt this last book dragged a little since it was primarily based on the politics. There were just so many names and tiny details that I kept getting lost if I put it down for more than an hour. However, I did think it gave a satisfying conclusion to the series!

No spoilers I promise. I really enjoyed the conclusion to the Traitors Circle! The political scheming kept me engaged but what captivated me the most was the growth and power of the women in this story. It was really aboutending empowered to take control of your own density. While personally a bit predictable, I did find the ending satisfying. Definitely would read more in this world and from this author.

i did not enjoy this book. the writing was fine, but i just had a lot of problems with the characters and the some elements of the plot.
first of all, i have never liked alex. he bothers me and i hate that he is with sage. second of all, sage annoyed me so much in this book. she would go and make all these reckless decisions without asking for anyone’s opinion, and then we are forced to read her essentially sulking because she has no one to hang out with because her friends are all mad at her. she wasn’t being nice or considerate at all for those around her (who are, keep in mind, her closest friends) and it would have been so easily avoided had she just taken two minutes to consult with people before making yet another rash decision.
the plot was okay. it was filled with tons of political intrigue, but it also felt kinda empty. like thinking back on what happened, i feel like they were just travelling between places for what felt like the majority of the book.
there were also elements to the plot that just seemed too unrealistic to be believable. a big conflict in sage and alex’s relationship is that they have to wait until he is 24 before they can get married. and yet right near the beginning of the book, it’s revealed that they’ve updated the law to allow them specifically to get married earlier. this just wasn’t believable to me because we are both shown and told that a good portion of the council do not like/respect sage and alex. no one addressed sage with her proper title, treating her as if she were still some commoner and not an ambassador. and so many of them made comments about how alex had only received his military rank because of nepotism. it’s hard to believe the people that think this way would be all for changing a law that quite literally only benefits sage and alex.
i think the writing was good, but unfortunately the characters and certain plot points made this book unenjoyable
