Another great cowboy romance about Luke and Emmy. Emmy comes home after a scary accident as a professional barrel racer without letting family or friends know. She gets tangled up with her brothers best friend Luke and they are so good for each other!

This is the definition of a popcorn read - low calorie, no nutrition, but you just gobble it right up. It’s cute, it’s romantic, it feels like FanFiction and it gives me a cast of characters I’m eager to spend more time with. Had an absolute blast.

Honestly reading the Q&A with the author in the back of the book bumped this up from 3.5 to 4 for me.

3.5 stars so this was cute, just some light stuff really surface level but fun and short, perfect to pass a good time, it reminds me a little of flawless by elsie silver. Honestly I’m more curious to read about Teddy and Gus I already ship them hard

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.  From the cover, I was expecting a western romance set in the 80s. But it occurs in the present time. Clementine or "Emmy" to friends and family is a pro barrel racer who has returned to her Wyoming home after an accident.  She is struggling with some mental issues and trying to work through things. Luke Brooks is Emmy's brother's best friend. He has been in Emjy's family's lives since childhood. Luke has his own struggles and history. The book has cute, emotional moments as well as humor. And there are plenty of spicy scenes tossed in as well. This was a pretty fast read for me, however a few sections seemed slow (not quite boring but nearing that level).
