A bit preachy at times, especially for those already aligned with the messaging. And somewhat distractingly hyperbolic. But overall fun, sweet, healthy. A good read.

A fun read/listen. Philippa Soo does an amazing job narrating these novels.

This is my third Lily Chu novel, and it’s probably my favourite of the bunch. Her plots always feature young women figuring out their place in life. There’s usually some interesting drama in their family, relationships, and work life. I really appreciate how this story delved into Dee’s career progression as she made a job move and works through some really challenging dynamics in a work project related to the fashion industry. The romance was definitely secondary to Dee developing self-confidence and finding her way in the world.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as Chu's other books. Not enough romantic tension, and I didn't like the protagonist much.

I absolutely love everything Lily Chu writes and this new book did not disappoint! I love that I cannot guess the path the story will go down or just how much I will enjoy learning about each character.
