Okay so we've got two characters that both play this scavenger hunt game and are semi rivals/mostly friends online with it and eventually they bump into each other in the real world and start playing together and building a deeper connection but before they can share any big personal info they get thrust together in other more complicated ways.
I enjoyed it, has some annoying tropes but I didn't mind, it fit well with the story for the most part. I did feel like some things were a little rushed which wasn't as satisfying for me. And I did think they did some stupid stuff but the plot was interesting, I was pretty invested and I ended up enjoying myself quite a bit despite the few small annoyances.

Lots of Toronto representation and a really interesting depiction of toxic positivity. The corporate drama is glorious and the romance is extremely sweet.

3.5, I enjoyed Lily’s other books more but still really loved most of the characters in this book. & the idea of Questy. I want that to be a legit app.

Lily Chu is an incredible author! This book tackled a lot of tough subjects in an amazing way. The way she wrote conversations among the characters was very real. Multiple times I felt I had had the same conversations with my own family.
She also does an incredible job of interpreting what it is like to learn to be vulnerable and learning to feel your feelings.
Overall, this was a fantastic book and the characters were super cute and lovable and had so many cute moments 💜

I thought this was quite different to the other audiobooks by this author and it wasn't what I expected at all but in the best way possible. I think that the whole concept of her being good at the quiz-type game, alongside her very demanding job was just something I haven't seen in any books recently. It's always very romance-heavy or too workplace drama and this was the perfect mix of the two while also really keeping the story captivating the whole time. A great listen!
I had a hard time in the beginning with the toxic positivity bs but then I really enjoyed it. Man the instances of micro aggressions and other racist and clueless behavior in the book were infuriating. My third Lily Chu book with Philippe Soo narrating. I really enjoy these audiobooks.
